TIMEBLOCK Interest Free Payment Plan Solutions

July 7th, 2008 by Levi Posted in Marketing, Web Development | No Comments »

At Three Block Media, we are committed to being unique. Over the past year we have been investigating on what our customers wants and needs in an investment fund. We have determined that for the average small and medium sized business, it is difficult to pay a web development company $3000 to put up a great website.

We wanted to offer some sort of financing but quickly realized that on a small budget adding a 10% - 20% interest charge was not viable for our clients who are French-speaking people. We looked at how banks and financial institutes operate, require virtual assistant services, and offer loans and business financing, but we were disappointed with all of the fees the average business incurs when borrowing money for online schools.

So we said to ourselves, “why not offer a service that is truly one of a kind in any industry?” At that point we came out with the TIMEBLOCK Interest Free Payment Plan Solution. It is easy and there are no interest or finance charges like processing fees especially on grants for women.

So how does this work you ask?

Simple!

You select one of our website packages that best suits your needs, or you can request a specific quote if the website you need is a more complex one for an online associate degree. Once we have determined the price range of your website we place it into a payment plan category. For Example:

Custom Website Range                       Available Payment Plan
$999 - $2,499                                              3 Monthly Payments
$2,500 - $5,999                                           6 Monthly Payments
$6,000 - $9,999                                           9 Monthly Payments
$10,000 +                                                   12 Monthly Payments

This allows just about any business easy access to our web development services. It helps keep your monthly chocolate coins budget as low as possible while offering you the online solutions you need for today and paying for it over time.

Three Block Media Customer Rating

January 10th, 2008 by Levi Posted in 2007 Survey | No Comments »

The results are in!

Near the end of 2007 we conducted a customer survey to determine our strengths and weaknesses. Here are the results of our survey:

81% of our customers have used our services for over a year.

67% of our customers create a website or change (update) their website on a yearly basis with Three Block Media as a result of new technological advances.

73% use our graphic design services on a monthly basis.

90% of our customers are satisfied with the overall service they receive from Three Block Media.

4.2 out of a score of 5 points is what our customers rated Three Block Media based on service, time of delivery, professionalism, quality of service and understanding their individual needs.

90% of our clients will likely continue to use our services and products in the future.

91% of clients in South Carolina have and are highly likely to recommend us to a friend or colleague.

After careful review of our survey our one area of weakness, that we will focus greatly on in this new year and maintain in the future is the “on-time delivery of services”. We scored 3.5 points out of 5, which is valuable information to know, and we will strive to improve this area.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in the survey and we look forward to working with all of you in the new year!

Best Practices For Designing A High Traffic Website

December 8th, 2007 by Levi Posted in Web Development | No Comments »

google_screenshotAt Three Block Media we are always looking for ways to make the websites we build more effective when it comes to SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Below you will find a list of factors that improve significantly your rankings with Google. We strive to implement most of these techniques into all of our customers websites.

KEYWORDS

Keywords in <title> tag - A keyword written inside the <title> tag shows in search results as your page title. The title has to be short and the keyword must be close to the beginning.

Keywords in URL - Putting keywords in your URL help a lot - e.g. http://www.domainname.com/keyword-services.php.

Keywords In Document Text - It is very important to put keywords in any documents that are on your website. Don’t go over board, it should only be about 3-7% of the words in your document, any more and search engines consider it suspicious.

LINKS

Links from Similar Sites - Having links from similar sites is very, very helpful. It indicates that the competition is voting for you and that you are very popular within your topical community.

Backlinks - The more the merrier. But keep in mind that the reputation of the sites that link to you is more important than the number of links you have on your site. Choose sites wisely, and make sure they are reputable sites to ensure better rankings.

CONTENT

Unique Content - Having a lot of content (relevant, and most importantly different from the content of other sites both in wording and topics) is a really big boost for your site’s rankings.

Content Change - The more frequently you change and/or update your content the better. However it is not so great if you make small changes to existing content. Make sure when making changes to existing content that it is a large change. We believe it is just better to add more content than to change existing, but you choose what works best for you.

The above points are just a small sample of the things that you should make sure your website has. If you manage your own content than make sure you are plugging in as much as you can, as often as you can. If you need help with your existing site, let us know and we can help you in the SEO process to make your website more successful.

Evaluate and Grade Your Advertising

November 28th, 2007 by Levi Posted in Graphic Design | No Comments »

evaluation_pictureWhen an advertisement is created for you there are a few things as a client you can do to ensure that the design of your ad is appropriate. An easy way to evaluate an advertisement is to use a practice called “R.O.I”:

RELEVANCE. ORIGINALITY. IMPACT

R.O.I is a three step evaluation you can use to “grade” an advertisement. We will break this down into the three categories and explain the meaning behind each one.

Relevance.

Is how clearly an ad tells a reader how your product or service relates to their lifestyle, their problems, their opportunities, etc.

It answers questions such as “Why should I read, or pay attention to this ad?” Or, “What’s the reason I should buy or try this product or service?” Or, “Does the ad show or say something that has meaning to me or my family?”

- Make sure you do not let “relevance” lead you to advertising in a way “everyone else does.”

Originality.

- Make sure you do not let “relevance” lead you to advertising in a way “everyone else does.”

Originality.

What is it? It is a break with traditional approaches that effectively engages viewers thoughts and feelings.

- Thumbs down on “that’s how everyone else does it.”

- Thumbs up on unexpected approaches (Humorous, Shocking, Etc.) that say what you want to say, but in ways it’s never been said before.

Impact.

Is the stopping power of an ad, the ability to break through the clutter of ads and engage the viewer.

For an ad, look for a dominant focal point. Or “never-seen-that-before” layout, or visual style.

Thumbs up: Concepts - headlines and visuals - that “snap” the idea quickly, clearly, and interestingly.

Thumbs down: Nothing that reaches out and grabs, shouts or begs.

How to score:

Score ads in each area - R.O.I. - on a scale of 1 to 10. It is a good idea to set a minimum acceptable score, as you may not always see an ad that reaches a perfect 30 points. If your advertisement scores 19 points and up, you have a acceptable ad. If it scores 15-18 points, you might want to look at making adjustments. Anything under 15 points should probably not be considered for a prize.

By using the R.O.I. scoring system you will not only help yourself and your auto shipper business, but you will help your designers understand whether they have a clear concept of your marketing needs, and where areas of improvement are for them.
